“Europe and International” Permanent Mission

The Europe and International Permanent Mission (MPEI) aims to develop the presence, influence and commitment of the Inspectorate General of Social Affairs beyond our borders. More specifically, the MPEI is responsible for :

• Supporting ongoing Igas missions so that they can access the most relevant information on the comparison of social policies in the different countries of Europe and beyond (methodological and documentary advice, international monitoring, establishing contact with contacts abroad, capitalising on work, etc.);
• Managing Igas international expertise activities;
• Leading and promoting Igas cooperation activities with its peers and their associations;
• Coordinating the Igas European and international relations with the relevant French government departments, European institutions, international organisations and other institutions;
• Promoting the work and products of Igas in Europe and internationally;
• Facilitating the professional development of Igas members abroad and foreign experts at Igas.

Coordinated by Louis-Charles Viossat, the MPEI has a small number of Igas members who take part in its work.

The mission also maintains a constant link with the chairmen of the Igas peer review committees on the international dimension, in particular for the benchmarking of missions.
